The Foundling Museum
Tucked away in Brunswick Square, the Foundling Museum tells the moving story of the Foundling Hospital and the abandoned children who grew up there – revealed through the artworks, objects and archival documents on display. The museum is hosting a unique, one-off opportunity, allowing visitors to touch and study a selection of objects similar to those in the galleries. Items in the handling collection include children’s clothing, replica court room plasterwork and a selection of tokens as found in the Introductory Gallery. Led by Janette Bright, an expert researcher, gain a deeper insight into the plight of mothers who were forced by circumstance to give up their babies to the Foundling Hospital.
