A celluloid love letter…
Love is All is an exquisite journey through the 20th century, exploring love and courtship on the silver screen across decades of unprecedented social upheaval. A perfect gift for any film lover to wrap up warm with and take a romantic walk down memory lane. From the first kisses ever caught on film, through the disruptions of war and on to the birth of youth culture, free love and gay liberation. The film follows courting couples as they flirt at tea dances, kiss in the back row, shack up together and fight for their right to love whoever they choose.
Directed by Kim Longinotto, using a selection of footage from British film archives, including the BFI National Archive, all set to a stunning soundtrack by the singer-songwriter-producer Richard Hawley.
The run time is 74 minutes. The film is available from the British Film Institute.
