DEMENTIA AWARENESS BAZAAR

The Camden Dementia Action Alliance and Alzheimer’s Society, in partnership with Camden Carers Service and Age UK Camden will be hosting an afternoon information fair. The afternoon bazaar is a great opportunity for people living with dementia, their carers and members of the wider community to participate in a range of entertaining activities, as well as gaining access to vital information and advice from various support services available in the borough.

A fun and colourful street party with a fabulous carnival atmosphere, the Big Fair draws crowds of tens of thousands. Hampstead Summer Festival are delighted to announce all funds raised will go towards supporting Age UK Camden’s Henderson Court Resource Centre, Keats Community Library and Hampstead School of Art in 2017 – three important and cherished community organisations that depend on the festival’s support to continue their vital work in our community.

Friday 21 July. £21.50 (members) or £26.50 (non-members). Day trip to Chichester Harbour, one of the few remaining undeveloped coastal areas in Southern England, it remains relatively wild. Its wide expanses and intricate creeks are at the same time a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain’s most popular boating waters.

Friday 11 August. £15 (members) or £18 (non-members). Aldeburgh is a coastal town in Suffolk, located on the North Sea coast to the north of the River Alde. The town is notable for having been the home of composer Benjamin Britten and as the centre of the international Aldeburgh Festival of arts at nearby Snape Maltings founded by him in 1948. It remains an artistic and literary centre with an annual poetry festival and several food festivals as well as other cultural events.
